Everyone has a soul. I am currently reading Dr. David Jeremiah’s book The Battle for Your Soul. I love what he writes in his book (I am paraphrasing): It has been said that the body has a soul, but it is probably truer to say that every soul wears a body. Your soul is extremely valuable. The Bible doesn’t give us all the reasons because many of them we probably wouldn’t understand, but one thing is certain. Jesus died to save our souls. At the same time, there is an enemy leading our soul away from that saving power. The soul is eternal, and our path in this temporary world is leading to an eternal destination. So we need to ask some really important questions about our soul. Is my soul heading in the right direction? Is my soul heading in the wrong direction? What does the Bible say is important for my soul?
In this new series, we will explore passages that speak about the soul directly. The Bible gives us spiritual insight into things we cannot see with physical sight, and through this series, we will take a look at what God’s Word reveals about our souls.
